The ongoing debate over DEI often frames the practice as either fundamentally flawed or entirely unnecessary. However, this binary perspective oversimplifies a far more complex reality. Research and practical experience reveal that while some DEI initiatives have successfully raised awareness of individual biases and systemic barriers, others have fallen short—and in some cases, even produced unintended negative consequences.
